Seeker's Path to Allah: “Stations of the Wayfarers”
Purification and Development of the Self and Its Applications in Daily Life
A five-session course with Dr. Qais A. Mekki, MD, PhD · September 24 – October 22, 2026
About the Course
Stations of the Wayfarers (Manazil al-Sa'irin), by Imam Abdullah al-Ansari al-Harawi (d. 481 AH / 1089 CE), is one of the most important works on tazkiyah, the purification and development of the self, and on the spiritual journey toward Allah. It maps that journey as 100 stations grouped into ten sections. Each station is described at three levels: beginner, intermediate and elite. The path begins with spiritual awakening and repentance and ends with divine unity (tawhid).
This course works through all ten sections over five sessions. It explains the text in contemporary language and focuses on how each station applies to daily life. Each session ends with reflections and discussion.
